Licence To Operate A Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform
course description
This unit applies to those working on or wanting to work on site-based roles. An EWP ticket is a mandatory requirement for all operation of equipment with capacity to extend past 11 meters in reach for scissor lift and boom-type elevated work platforms. This HRWL course complies with OH&S and WHS licensing legislation compliance requirements, and covers the skills and knowledge required to operate an EWP.
accreditation
Candidates will receive a Statement of Attainment and a Notice of Assessment to perform high-risk work as an interim licence within 14 days of course completion. WorkSafe will send students their High-Risk Work Licence directly.
requirements
Participants will need to demonstrate sufficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills. Please advise us if you have any LLN concerns or issues as support is available, and/or adjustments can be made to ensure you are not disadvantaged in completing this course.
Participants need to be 18+ years of age to enrol in this course.
If participants don’t already have their Working at Heights ticket, it is recommended they complete this as well. Many job sites require both Working at Heights and EWP as they are separate competencies. Click here for more information on our Working at Heights course.
Location
This course is delivered at 33 North Jindong Road, Carbunup.
Please contact us for on-site bookings, a minimum of 4x students is required.
Duration
This course is completed over two-days. The first day consists of training and completing practice questions and the second day is to complete the assessments.
Our classes run from 8am - 4pm.

Are you eligible for a CTF Rebate?
If you’re currently working in the civil construction industry, you may qualify for the CTF (Construction Training Fund) subsidy.
If you don’t currently qualify, you have up to 12 months to claim back with the CTF directly.
