This unit applies to those working in site-based roles, and covers the skills and knowledge required to operate a skid steer to load, haul and distribute materials.

Skills and knowledge that must be demonstrated to pass this unit include:

• Planning and preparing for skid steer loader operations.

• Operating skid steer loader in line with established requirements.

• Loading, carrying and placing materials to complete work activity.

• Selecting, removing, fitting and using attachments for a skid steer loader.

• Preparing to relocate the skid steer loader.

• Conducting housekeeping activities.

Accreditation

Participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment within 14 days of completing the course.

Participants will need to demonstrate sufficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills. Please advise us if you have any LLN concerns or issues as support is available, and/or adjustments can be made to ensure you are not disadvantaged in completing this course.

There are no other prerequisites to enrol in this course.

The duration for this course is 8 hours, running from 8am - 4pm.
